altex marketing joins the Velvet Creative Alliance
Monday, September 7, 2009 19:20 by Robin GurneyPosted in category Internet Marketing
Altex is extremely excited about joining VCA and you can read the official release here in Estonian. For us it feels like a step up and step in the right direction. We will be working even closer with their (international) award winning creative team.
To be part of VCA’s evolution towards being a one-stop shop for channel-agnostic marketing problem-solving is a challenge we will embrace with both hands. I feel certain that the independent thinking and creative energy coming out of VCA will inspire both the altex team and our clients.
It seems as though altex has finally come of age (aged 4 and a bit) and we move on from our experimentation phase into the age of “creative effectiveness”.

Congrats! I guess
However, I did not read out in the press statement what this “alliance” means in practical terms.

Robin and team, good luck, sounds like a really good match for you guys. Keep pushing the whole topic of internet marketing, makes things more interesting on our own market and I’m sure on the markets around Estonia too.

Does this mean a merger, a minority sale of shares or is it just a statement that you will remain two separate companies with different shareholders, but just do some cooperation projects?
Good luck in any case! Estonian companies need to cooperate more.

Velvet has taken a stake in altex and we have defined areas of cooperation that add value for our respective current and future clients.
We will retain our individual boards and determine our own direction but we will be helping each other more and more with support and insights.

Seems like a reasonable move. Well done.
