Enterprise Estonia (EAS) and Altex Marketing Promote Estonian Start Ups at Biggest CEE Internet Exhibition
Altex Marketing press release 29. august 2011

Enterprise Estonia (EAS) and web agency Altex Marketing OÜ both have speaking platforms at Webit Congress 2011 and will use the opportunity to promote e-Estonia, various internet e-start ups from Estonia going global and the broader internet advertising sector.

“Webit is the biggest internet event in Central and Eastern Europe and one of the biggest in all Europe. With 5000 other delegates from 21 countries, anyone serious about expanding into the region simply has to be there.” states Andri Viiand, altex marketing MD.

Andri Viiand will give a presentation called “Lessons from e-Estonia” and share insights about internet advertising trends in Estonia; the state of the start up scene and also about the rich variety of e-citizen services such as e-voting, Electronic ID Card, Mobile ID, e-Prescription, e-School and e-Tax.

Altex’s strategy director Robin Gurney was appointed as Webit Consul for Estonia and he is clear that the opportunities for Estonian internet service exporters and startups are many :“You just have to look at the agenda, speaker and delegate lists to see the whole event is quality and we are proud to be associated with it.”

Of particular interest to Estonian start ups will be the StartUp Village where internet startups are encouraged to apply for free exhibition space to pitch their business to collaborators and a healthy number of investors.

Andrus Viirg, Enterprise Estonia Representative in Silicon Valley, California is on the StartUp Village speaker panel and will share why and how Enterprise Estonia is supporting Estonian StartUps who want to crack the US market.
Andrus comments “It’s great to be going to Webit with Altex and hopefully a number of other successful Estonian internet companies and startups. It’s obviously an excellent networking event and the business potential of attending should be looked at carefully by ambitious Estonian internet companies.”

Altex does have another agenda for attending.
“It’s no secret in our sector that our pan-European affiliate network www.pay4results.eu is growing really fast. This year exports will account for 50% of our revenue and we want that to grow even higher. We have expanded to 6 countries in 6 months and we aim to expand to 20 more next year. Webit Congress is the place to find the partners we need in Eastern Europe.” explains Andri Viiand
